Mega Drills

Annually, M ABBAS LOGISTICS organizes a comprehensive Mega Drill in partnership with entities such as ATS, Rescue 1122, Motorway Traffic Police, and SHELL Pakistan Ltd. The primary objective of this drill is to meticulously equip both the MAL Team and MAL Captains with the skills and readiness required for an effective emergency response to unforeseen events that may occur during their journeys. Covering a spectrum of emergency response facets in real time which include roll overs, product spills and human casualties , the drill encompasses essential components such as first-aid awareness, fire safety protocols, road safety measures, and the precise procedures to be adhered to by the respective emergency response teams. This strategic initiative underscores MAL’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of its personnel in navigating unforeseen challenges.

PASBAAN Conference

Annually, SHELL Pakistan Ltd. hosts the PASBAAN Conference to recognize contractors’ achievements and assess the progress of SHELL Haulers nationwide in relation to their contracts. MAL, operating in strict accordance with its contractual commitments, has consistently earned accolades such as the prestigious Fakhr-e-Pasbaan award. This recognition reflects MAL’s unwavering dedication to safety, adherence to defined rules, and excellence in fulfilling SHELL’s contractual requirements. The PASBAAN Conference serves as a testament to MAL’s outstanding performance and significant contributions within the SHELL contractual framework.

On-Board Monitoring with A.I (FDD)

All MAL Tankers are equipped with advanced On-Board Forward-Facing Driver (FDD) Cameras, incorporating cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) technology. These cameras serve a critical role in continuously analyzing the driver’s behavior during their journeys. In the event of observations such as yawning, eye rubbing, or any behavior indicative of distraction, the FDD cameras promptly trigger notifications to the MAL Journey Supervision Team. To further enhance safety measures, an integrated soft alarm is activated, serving as a proactive deterrent to discourage any unsafe conduct.
Notably, these cameras offer a comprehensive view, providing live footage from both inside and outside the cabin. This dual perspective enables real-time monitoring by the journey team, ensuring stringent adherence to safety protocols and bolstering road safety standards. This state-of-the-art technology underscores MAL’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing safety, leveraging innovative solutions to proactively mitigate potential risks on the road.

Hauler Captain League System (HCLS)

MAL proudly implements the Hauler Captain League System (HCLS), a structured framework designed to incentivize and motivate captains to consistently excel in their performance throughout their journeys. The primary focus of HCLS is to encourage strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, mitigating the risk of any untoward incidents.
Under this system, the quarterly performance of all captains is meticulously documented and subjected to a thorough review process. Those who demonstrate exemplary performance receive Certificates of Appreciation along with monetary rewards as a testament to their dedication and commitment. Conversely, captains who do not meet the expected standards are issued warnings, with termination being the outcome for persistent non-compliance.
This stringent approach ensures that MAL maintains a workforce comprised solely of the most competent captains, fostering an environment of maximum efficiency and safety for both assets and personnel, in alignment with our unwavering commitment to excellence and responsibility.

Daily Vehicle Inspection and Journey Planning

Prior to embarking on each journey, MAL’s fleet undergoes a rigorous inspection conducted by our specialized Vehicle Management Team. This comprehensive examination ensures that each tanker is meticulously assessed for any potential faults or issues, guaranteeing the optimal condition of our vehicles before they hit the road.

Additionally, a daily Tool Box meeting is diligently organized before the departure of our tankers. This structured briefing serves as a forum to address routine challenges encountered by our Captains, offering strategic insights on effective problem resolution. Beyond troubleshooting, the meeting imparts crucial information regarding the upcoming journey, encompassing safety protocols and essential details that Captains need to be aware of. This proactive approach aligns with our commitment to fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continual improvement within our operational framework.
